What this directory is

Spartanburg, SC Electrician Guide is an independent directory covering 40 electrician businesses serving Spartanburg, SC and the surrounding area. It’s built for homeowners and property managers trying to figure out which local electrician actually fits the job, whether that’s a panel upgrade, a rewire, an EV charger install, or an emergency call at 11pm. Instead of a plain list of names and phone numbers, we try to give people something they can actually compare: how each business performs on public data and recent customer sentiment, side by side.

We also generate enquiries for local providers: when you ask to be matched, we pass your enquiry to a relevant provider and may receive a referral fee. Referral arrangements never affect scores or earned rankings. That’s the model, plainly stated, and it’s disclosed again on the quote page where it applies.

Where the listing data comes from

Every listing on this site starts with public business data: things like licensing status, years in operation, service areas, and how a business shows up on Google. We also synthesize recent Google reviews to get a sense of what customers are actually saying about response times, pricing, cleanup, and follow-through. We do not republish review text. If you want to read reviews yourselves, we link out to the business’s Google listing so you can see the source directly.

A business listed here can flag and correct factual details about itself: a wrong phone number, an outdated address, a service it no longer offers. What it cannot do is edit its own score, its sentiment summary, or its position in the rankings. Those come from our process, not from the business.

How rankings are earned

Rankings are calculated from a published rubric applied consistently across all 40 listings, using the data described above. Nobody’s placement is decided by opinion or negotiation. If you want the full breakdown of factors and weighting, it’s laid out on our /methodology/ page.

How sponsorship works

Some businesses on this site pay to sponsor a placement. When that happens, it’s clearly labelled “Sponsored” and shown in a separate section from the earned rankings. Sponsorship never changes a business’s score or where it lands in the ranked list. It’s a separate track entirely: paying for visibility doesn’t buy a better rank, and a top-ranked electrician isn’t necessarily a sponsor.

Why we built it this way

The point of separating earned rankings from sponsorship, and facts from scores, is so the comparison actually means something. If a business could pay to rank higher or edit its own review sentiment, the whole exercise would be pointless. We’d rather you trust the list, use it to find a few solid options, and then let us pass your enquiry along to providers relevant to your request if you want quotes.
