Terms of Service

Effective date: July 18, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SpartanburgSCElectrician.com (the “Site”), operated by [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] (“Spartanburg SC Electrician,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing the Site, browsing contractor listings, submitting a service request, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Do not use the Site if you do not agree to these Terms.

1. Description of the Site

Spartanburg SC Electrician is an online directory, advertising, referral, and lead-generation service designed to help consumers find electricians and electrical service providers in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and surrounding areas.

We may:

  • Publish information about local electricians and electrical contractors
  • Allow consumers to request estimates or contractor contact
  • Match consumers with contractors or service providers
  • Sell, license, transfer, or distribute consumer leads
  • Receive advertising, referral, listing, subscription, or lead fees from contractors
  • Provide general educational information about electrical services

We are not an electrical contractor and do not directly perform electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, repair, or emergency services.

2. Independent contractors

Any electrician, electrical contractor, advertiser, service provider, or business appearing on or contacted through the Site is an independent third party.

Contractors are not our employees, representatives, agents, partners, or subcontractors.

We do not control and are not responsible for a contractor’s:

  • Workmanship
  • Conduct
  • Availability
  • Prices or estimates
  • Licensing or registration
  • Insurance or bonding
  • Background or qualifications
  • Equipment or materials
  • Scheduling
  • Representations
  • Guarantees or warranties
  • Compliance with building codes, permit requirements, or other laws
  • Completion or quality of a project

Any agreement for services is solely between you and the contractor you select.

3. Lead-generation disclosure

When you submit a request for an estimate, consultation, appointment, or contractor contact, you understand that we operate as a lead-generation service.

We may sell, license, transfer, share, or otherwise provide the information in your request to one or more independent contractors, lead buyers, service providers, or marketing partners.

Information distributed may include:

  • Your name
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Service address, city, or ZIP code
  • Project type
  • Details about your electrical problem or requested service
  • Preferred appointment or contact time
  • Photos, messages, and other information you provide

Unless expressly stated otherwise, your request is not exclusive and may be provided to multiple contractors.

The Federal Trade Commission advises lead generators to clearly explain who they are and how submitted consumer information will be shared.

When you submit a form, you agree that we and the contractors or service providers receiving your request may contact you regarding your service inquiry, subject to the consent language shown on the form.

Contact may occur through:

  • Telephone calls
  • Text messages
  • Email
  • Voicemail
  • Other contact methods you request or authorize

Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive marketing communications is not a condition of purchasing services.

You may ask a contractor to stop contacting you. For text messages, you may reply STOP. Because contractors are independent businesses, you may need to communicate your opt-out request directly to each contractor that contacts you.

5. No obligation or guarantee of service

Submitting a request does not guarantee that:

  • A contractor will contact you
  • A contractor will accept your project
  • An appointment will be available
  • An estimate will be provided
  • A quoted price will be honored
  • Financing or insurance coverage will be available
  • A contractor will complete the work
  • Multiple contractors will respond
  • The lowest-priced contractor will be presented

We may decide not to distribute a request, and contractors may independently decline any request.

6. Emergency electrical situations

The Site is not an emergency-response service and should not be used as a substitute for emergency assistance.

If you believe there is an immediate danger involving fire, smoke, electrical arcing, electrocution, downed power lines, burning odors, or another life-threatening condition:

  • Leave the dangerous area when safe to do so
  • Call 911 or the appropriate emergency authority
  • Contact your electric utility where appropriate
  • Do not touch exposed wires or energized equipment
  • Do not wait for a response through this Site

We do not guarantee immediate review or transmission of form submissions.

7. Verification of contractors

You are responsible for independently evaluating any contractor before hiring that contractor.

Before work begins, you should consider confirming:

  • Identity and legal business name
  • Applicable professional or contractor license
  • Insurance coverage
  • Bonding, where appropriate
  • References and reviews
  • Experience with the requested work
  • Permit responsibilities
  • Scope of work
  • Pricing and payment terms
  • Warranties
  • Project schedule
  • Whether a written contract will be provided

South Carolina maintains official resources through the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation for checking licenses and filing licensing-related complaints.

A listing on the Site does not mean that we have verified, endorsed, certified, recommended, or approved the contractor.

8. Directory information

Contractor listings may be created using information from:

  • Contractor websites
  • Public business records
  • Licensing databases
  • Online directories
  • Social-media profiles
  • Contractors or their representatives
  • Consumer submissions
  • Other publicly available sources

We try to maintain useful information, but we do not guarantee that listing information is accurate, complete, current, or free from errors.

Business hours, addresses, telephone numbers, services, licensing information, and other details may change without notice.

Contractors may request corrections by contacting us at [CONTACT EMAIL].

Some contractors may pay for:

  • Featured placement
  • Advertising
  • Enhanced profiles
  • Priority visibility
  • Subscription listings
  • Exclusive or shared leads
  • Referral opportunities
  • Other promotional services

Paid placement does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of quality.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the order in which contractors appear may be affected by commercial relationships, availability, location, listing completeness, or other factors and may not represent an objective ranking.

10. Estimates, prices, and project information

Any prices, cost ranges, project estimates, calculators, or pricing information displayed on the Site are provided for general informational purposes only.

Actual costs may differ based on factors such as:

  • Project complexity
  • Labor requirements
  • Materials
  • Existing wiring conditions
  • Property age
  • Accessibility
  • Permits and inspections
  • Emergency or after-hours service
  • Travel distance
  • Code upgrades
  • Contractor pricing
  • Unforeseen conditions

Only the contractor you hire can provide a binding estimate or contract.

We are not responsible for disputes involving estimates, deposits, invoices, change orders, financing, payments, refunds, warranties, liens, or project completion.

11. User responsibilities

When using the Site, you agree to:

We may remove or decline reviews that we reasonably believe are:

  • Defamatory
  • Duplicative
  • Infringing
  • Promotional spam
  • Based on an experience the reviewer did not have

We do not guarantee that every review will be published or retained.

The Site may link to contractor websites, government databases, advertisers, social-media platforms, payment providers, or other third-party services.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party:

  • Content

Your use of third-party websites is governed by their own terms and policies.

18. Privacy

If you do not agree with those practices, do not submit personal information through the Site.

19. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and all information, listings, matching services, referrals, estimates, and content are provided “as is” and “as available.”

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of:

This section does not prevent either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief or filing a claim before a limitation period expires.

27. No waiver

Our failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision later.

28. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be modified or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

29. Entire agreement

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us concerning your use of the Site, except where a separate written agreement applies.
